Ever since high school, I have been a person who fluctuates in weight. I’d drop 20 pounds and gain 30 pounds, repeating this cycle and never finding a consistent weight. With little restraint when it came to diet, I figured not much would change. This would be how the rest of my life would continue.

Flash forward to today: five years after I dropped over fifty pounds. Not only did I drop the weight, but I kept it off, as well. Though there are many factors that helped me with my weight loss and my journey toward living a healthier lifestyle,

I can say one of the biggest pillars of my success was the assistance of Livi Ron. Having been with me since day one, Livi constantly offered guidance not just about my diet, but also guidance about keeping the right attitude.

Livi didn’t just plan my macros and tell me what to eat: she told me how to live with the right mindset. I can’t count all the times I’d abandon a diet or a goal because I had an unhealthy day or two in a row. With Livi, she made me understand that those days are bound to happen, but those days do not need to define us or deter us from our goals.

I no longer wake up from nightmares where I regained my fifty pounds, nor do I freak out if I decided to have a fat cheeseburger when I probably shouldn’t. I plan for it in my macros and make sure living a little doesn’t keep me from my goals. I cannot recommend Livi enough as she not only is well versed in nutrition, but she is exactly the type of coach you want to have in your corner.

Working with Livi on my nutrition has been very educational experience. She has shown me not only effective ways in fueling my body for performance, but also allowing me to have flexibility and freedom to make my own choices. Having worked in fitness I have seen a lot of different approaches to nutrition and dieting. All of them are usually very rigid and do not give the person much freedom. You may think that it was too much freedom that lead the person to need nutrition help in the first place, but I disagree. I find one of the biggest problems with nutrition and performance is a person’s overall lack of balance to the approach. Livi and the system she uses allows you freedom to make choices and stay independent, while also educating yourself by seeing the breakdown of the foods YOU are choosing. The sustainability of most programs is very low due to the fact you are painting on a limited canvas with only a few choices of colors.

Allowing the flexibility to chose the foods and be directly responsible for their impact teaches people a large amount of responsibility when it comes to fueling their bodies. I have been able to adjust my nutrition to match my training during different times of the year depending on whether I am doing more lifting or more conditioning. This has allowed me to keep my body composition and recovery from workouts consistent no matter how my training is changing. If you can balance a check book , you can follow this nutritional model. Much like having financial freedom, this model allows you to learn how to have things you like and not have to eat the same things over and over. You should feel empowered at the choices you have and the progress you will make without investing in hopeless products.

I honestly can’t thank Livi enough for helping me during my 8 week Transphormation challenge! Livi taught me how to track my macros and gave me so many tips and tricks to make food fit into my day and also eat the foods that I truly enjoy. It was so encouraging and I was given the best advice to finish strong. My mental and physical strength has improved tremendously with Livi’s help!
